Taste Madeira, its seasons and its stories
At Terrabona, the table is where wine, landscape and people come together.
Our food is inspired by the recipes and memories of our mothers and grandmothers, respectfully reinterpreted through the seasons and the finest ingredients Madeira has to offer.
Much of what reaches the table begins close to us: local fish, bread, fruit, vegetables and traditional delicacies, complemented by fruit, aromatic herbs and plants grown within the property. Guests are invited to discover, pick and taste them, a simple expression of our from the land to the table philosophy.
Every dinner is thoughtfully paired with Terrabona wines and shaped by the same values that define the retreat: authenticity, intimacy, nature and genuine human connection.

More than a wine dinner, the Winemaker’s Table is an evening of stories, discovery and conversation.
Hosted personally by Maria and Marco, guests gather around a shared table to explore Terrabona’s wines and the extreme viticulture from which they are born. Each wine accompanies a menu inspired by family recipes, Madeira’s seasonal ingredients and the culinary memories of the island.
It is an intimate journey through wine, food and place, and an opportunity to understand the passion, challenges and people behind every Terrabona bottle.

THE PRIVATE VILLA TABLE
A light and relaxed dinner in the privacy of your villa
On evenings other than Monday and Thursday, when you may simply wish to stay in, unwind and enjoy the tranquillity of the valley, we offer a light and thoughtfully prepared dinner, served in front of your villa.
A simple, fresh and flavourful selection, designed to be enjoyed without formality and entirely at your own pace, accompanied by a suggested Terrabona wine. Surrounded by vineyards, mountains and the sounds of nature, the landscape becomes your dining room.
Should you wish to celebrate a special moment together, we can also create a more distinctive and personalised experience. Please contact us at least one week in advance, and we will be delighted to explore how we can make the occasion truly memorable.

Thursdays | A celebration of Madeira and the seasons
The Valley Table celebrates the landscape surrounding Terrabona and the ingredients it inspires.
In a relaxed and atmospheric setting, guests come together for a seasonal dinner shaped by what the island, our gardens and trusted local producers have to offer. Traditional Madeiran flavours meet a contemporary and thoughtful interpretation, always accompanied by Terrabona wines.
As daylight fades over the vineyards and mountains, the table becomes a place for sharing: food, wine, conversation and the quiet beauty of the Boaventura Valley.
